The MOTION CONTROL INTERFACE slaves the camera to Motion Control rigs. These rigs normally have STEP / DIRECTION outputs to drive dc and stepper motors. The Cine CCU input takes these signals from the MoCo computer and then runs and phases the camera so the shutter is always in the same relative speed and position. This allows possibilities such a double exposure pan where each frame is exactly taken over the previous take.
